Brad Binder, originally from South Africa, began his motorsport career as a Red Bull MotoGP Rookie. His breakthrough moment came in Estoril in 2011, where he won the race from pole position with a lead of 15 seconds. He made his debut in the Moto3™ World Championship in 2012 and achieved his first podiums in 2014. In 2016, he impressively won the Moto3™ title with the Red Bull KTM Ajo team.
In 2017, Binder moved to Moto2™ with the same team, but his season was hampered by an arm injury. However, he finished strongly with three consecutive podiums. The following year, he secured his first three victories in Moto2™ and finished third in the championship. In 2019, he initially missed the podium, but his form in the second half of the season was remarkable, with five wins in the last twelve races.
Binder transitioned to MotoGP™ with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing in 2020 and immediately claimed his first victory in the Czech GP, becoming the first rookie since Marc Marquez to win a race. He won the Rookie of the Year award after a series of strong performances. In 2021, he added a second MotoGP™ win to his name. Despite the lack of wins in 2022, his consistency kept him in the top of the standings. In 2023, Binder frequently stood on the podium and finished fourth in the championship. For 2024, his goal is clear: to chase the title with KTM.
